We stayed at Sandy Point recently. An amazing campground. The facilities are one of the best we've seen in 7mths of travelling from WA. Congratulations to the groundsperson responsible. We attended the dawn service on Anzac Day and found it to be a very emotional experience. The young man who told his story spoke very well and it was especially nice to see the school children involved. Thank you to the Shire for that. Downside was the trucks passing through while the service was being held. Very distracting. A shame they can't be redirected on that day, or have the service in a different location. Perhaps the high-school grounds where the 3 flag poles are? (just a suggestion) The only other complaint is about the young man who drives a white hilux ute who continually drove through the camp ground at great speed, sometimes several times a day. Even spinning wheels to create as much dust as possible. We tried to take note of his number plate, but unfortunately his "P" plate obscured it.😲. Sometimes accompanied by his mate in a dark grey hilux who seemed to be in competition to see which one could cause the most dust for all the

campers. What a lovely town is Hay NSW. The locals in the supermarket, visitors centre & coffee shop (great pies!!) could not be more friendly. Thanks again. Di & Ted Figgy Figtree|3 January 2023|Google

We free camped at Sandy Beach and I have to compliment the Council on the condition they maintain that facility - and the young man with the long pony tail who takes great pride in maintaining the cleanli

ness of that area. We stayed 3 days and conservatively spent around $500 in the town - which wouldn't have occurred had we not been permitted to camp at that location. Jack Woodman|1 September 2016|Google
